In September, I went to San Francisco for a week-long work trip and helped organize a local work gathering immediately after I returned. I set my Poshmark to βvacation modeβ during this time, so I received zero sales that week. My numbers reflect this.
π Reselling Numbers
Total items sold: 49
Total cost of sold items: $74.58
Average cost per item: $1.52
Total shipping paid: $4.31 (buyers pay for shipping on Poshmark)
Average profit per item: $15.27
Total profit: $748.23
Sooo when I paused my Poshmark closet for a week, my βpromotionsβ budget also paused. I decided to up my weekly budget from $10 to $15 to see if it would make any difference. It did not. Poshmark wonβt let me customize the dates for my promoted closet report, but as you can see, the flatline is from my vacation hold. The rest of September was a struggle despite my increased promotions.
Are Poshmark promotions worth it? Eh. If a closet consistently has more than 100 brand-name items, it can be a good investment. I will likely move my budget back down to $10/week and see how that goes.
My monthly reselling profit goal is $942. I failed to meet that goal two months in a row, BUT I am STILL AHEAD of my yearly profit goal!
Iβm still over $1k ahead! Hopefully holiday shopping will pick things back up for a strong finish.
Also, I have a shameful death pile (unlisted wares) to get through before the end of the year.
I havenβt listed as many clothing items recently because I told myself I would build this felt flat lay to make product photography easier. The giant board has been in my garage for several months nowβ¦maybe I can finish that this month. π
πΈ Other Numbers
I did exactly one secret shopping assignment at the airport for a total of $25. A couple of churning projects fell through, and one just paid out this month, so nothing on churning for September.
π° Total earnings for September: $773.23
Compare this to:
March: $1,778.62
April: $2,267.54
May: $2,358.27
June: $1,183.62
July: $1,519.51
August: $845.07
I will share the January and February numbers in an upcoming post.
In other news, Topper is still up for adoption!

Weβve had this sweet boy for over a month now. DFW Pug Rescue has been swamped with new intakes, so there are a lot of adoptable babies available on their website right now.
DO NOT ask if weβre going to keep him. We cannot foster fail our first ever foster on principle! π© We want to foster more eventually! We canβt do that if we end up adopting everyone!!
He is very loveable, though. I know heβll make another family extremely happy one day. π₯²
